What do you find most inspiring about being a financial planner?

What I find most inspiring is having the opportunity to help people fully understand and take control of their financial picture so that they can confidently concentrate on other non-financial aspects of their lives and reach their full potential.

As a child, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

As many young kids do, I dreamed of becoming a professional sports player (either football, baseball or basketball). I spent many hours on the practice field and naturally felt that playing games for a living was pretty appealing.

Everyone around here knows how much you love comedies, as you are often heard quoting movie lines throughout the office. What are some of your favorites?

Favorites: My Cousin Vinny, Dumb and Dumber

I actually like more drama type movies like Gladiator, Braveheart, etc.

You have had the ability to coach all three of your children in sports. What has been one of your favorite memories from coaching them so far?

I chose to coach so that I could ensure my kids (and other kids) would be taught character development, hard work, teamwork, and integrity, and not have the focus on winning, which I have seen way too many coaches focus on and feel it is such a disservice to kids at young ages.

Thus, my best memory really is simply that I was fortunate to have the time to be with my kids and support their overall growth.

Speaking of coaching….how do you feel about the Broncos’ decision to hire Gary Kubiak as their head coach?

Change sometimes is necessary and this seems to be the case here. Although being a volunteer sports coach, it sounds quite ironic to say that I really don’t follow professional sports too closely.
