SHJ Wealth Advisors is delighted to announce that Karlton D. Childress has been promoted to President of the firm. Karlton joined the firm in 2000 and has become an essential member of the planning team. Prior to his promotion, Karlton served as Managing Director. In that role, he oversaw business development, operations, and human resources. In his role as President, Karlton will continue to lead those functions while also focusing on developing the next generation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERSTM and client service professionals.
Firm founder, Lawrence Howes shared, “Karlton has demonstrated outstanding leadership over both the firm and SHJ team for many years. We felt it was time we honored his commitment to our firm with the promotion to President.” He went on to say, “It’s important to us to have a leader in place who will honor the essential values of SHJ Wealth Advisors while leading it well into the future.” Lawrence Howes will remain an active member of the SHJ team serving clients and delivering expert economic insight to both the firm and clients.
Former President, Joel Javer, will also remain an essential member of the SHJ team. Joel’s expertise in financial markets and investing remains invaluable to SHJ’s clients and the next generation of planners.
